The Best Glowing Products
As well as being fashion lovers, we are also big beauty lovers and absolutely love trying out new products. So, I thought what better way to share our love of beauty with a blog all about bridal makeup and product recommendations.
With Charlotte Tilbury being the queen of glowy makeup and a perfect style for bridal, a lot of the products we are going to recommend are from the queen of glow!
The first product is a product I absolutely couldn’t live without and can transform your skin and the look of your makeup instantly. The Hollywood Flawless Filter – what a game changer! This is a multi-use product and I love to wear it as a primer to add a lit from within glow to my skin every time I do my makeup before I apply foundation or concealer.
It also does have a small amount of coverage so day to day you can wear this alone as a light coverage base and just go in with concealer where you need it. You can also apply this over your foundation for a perfect, natural highlight – honestly fabulous!
For another primer/moisturiser type product, I absolutely love the Bobbi Brown Face Base, a beautifully rich cream that smells divine and leaves your skin feeling plump and hydrated, ready for any makeup you apply after.
Part moisturiser, part primer – a great all rounder and the perfect base. Prepping your skin properly before makeup is key to making sure your makeup sits on your skin beautifully.
Powder! A step that is important, I’m not sure about you but I have always had a love/hate relationship with powder, so many didn’t sit right on my skin or felt too heavy.
Until I tried the Airbrush Flawless Finish Power – again by Charlotte Tilbury, the most smoothing powder I have ever tried! – Perfect for a wedding day as it never looks heavy.
Lipsticks and lipliners – you guessed it, Charlotte Tilbury, the most heavenly, creamy formulas that last on the lips and they have the best shades, perfect for a wedding! Some of my favourites are ‘Pillow Talk’ lipstick and matching lipliner and also ‘Iconic Nude’ lip liner with ‘Very Victoria’ lipstick both beautiful nude combinations with hints of pink and mauve – beautiful!
Base wise, if you’re looking for something that looks natural and sits on the skin beautifully then the Loreal True Match Serum Foundation – so stunning! It works like a skin tint but with more coverage, it’s the perfect skin like finish, not too dewy and not too matte!
Another base product I adore is the Dior Backstage Face and Body foundation, another product that never fails me, not too heavy in coverage and the most beautiful and natural finish.
Both of these foundations layered over the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter are the dream combination!
Eyes! You know I’m about to recommend Charlotte Tilbury once again, their eye products are the most beautifully glowy products for a wedding and are so easy to use giving you that iconic Tilbury glow.
The ‘Eyes to Mesmerise’ cream eyeshadows make the perfect base, my favourite shades are ‘Jean’ and ‘Amber Gold’, they are the perfect one and done eye shadows, blend them out and you’re good to go or they are great for layering underneath eye shadow palettes.
The ‘Pillow Talk’ and the ‘Bigger Brighter Eyes’ palettes are perfect for a wedding day look, both neutral and super glowy!
The final product I wanted to talk about is the Charlotte Tilbury setting spray – incredible! I was always a little sceptical about setting sprays and whether they were just a gimmick but ever since I starting using this one, I am fully converted! It sets your makeup in place perfectly, it adds the perfect amount of moisture and rehydrates your skin if you’ve gone in a little too heavy with your powder – a dream product!
