Moving on up!
22nd February 2011
As I’m writing this I feel an incredible urge to pinch myself!
For, in 25 days time, Lulu Browns Bridal Boutique will be on the move. After seven-action packed, amazing, years in our rented premises on Castle St in Clitheroe, we have taken the giant step and purchased our very own property.
I had to kiss many property frogs before I found my prince, and all the time it was right under my nose. Nestled in the picturesque village of Whalley sat Number 17, Accrington Road. A rather unloved 3-bedroomed terraced house, currently being used as a hairdressers on the ground floor.
From the outside I was unimpressed. I’ve driven past this property everyday for the last 8 years as I live in the same village. It was my lovely Mum who encouraged me to take a look around it. As usual Mum was right. Within 10 seconds, I knew it was the one. And the rest, as they say, is history.
I got the most reassuring, content feeling as I stood in the building for the first time. Although it is completely unrecognizable inside now, that feeling still remains. A good sign, I think you will agree!
I’d love to share my journey with you from the day we got the keys, to the day we move in and beyond, which is why I plan to dedicated my evenings over the next few weeks, keeping you updated on our progress.
We are working with local suppliers from all over the Ribble Valley who have all been instrumental in bring our dream to life. From interior-designers to cake-makers, picture-framers to iron-mongers, we are proud to have sourced everything locally.
And now, without further ado, I introduce our new HQ! Be gentle, its not looking its best, but the journey must start somewhere…
Thank you for reading and I shall hopefully see you very soon for your next update
